Happy New Year!

Well, I now live in Japan! Which is strange, really, but fun. A lot has happened, but my productivity has suffered a hit. Maybe if I spend new year’s eve writing, the new year will be more productive? I should try and aim for that. It’s my resolution every year and I’m always failing for variety of reasons (and my body betraying me not the least of them -_-)

I have however, finished the next chapter of Pedigree of War, I had most of it written, it’s really should’ve been done much earlier.

You can read the update here, and I’m also posting this story on FictionPress, although the FP version will be without the juicy sex scenes (that I haven’t written yet haha).

Now I’m off to face that tournament chapter of WP that I’ve been avoiding for too long!

I’m alive!

Wow, it’s been ages since I’ve updated. Time flies and I don’t even notice, it’s like I’m walking life in my pace.

I still suffer from that stupid infection and have pains, and my health isn’t that great in general, but I’m still writing!

I’ve skipped around on Wild Pitch and finished a few future chapters, before I decided I prefer writing chronologically and went back to the chapter where I left off. So I’m almost done with chapter 32, it just needs some tweaking and editing, but my beta reader isn’t around, well can’t blame him since I wasn’t around online myself this year! *sigh*

But I love this story with all my heart and not about to give up on it no matter how long it takes, so rest assured it will be finished.

FML

After 2 weeks of trying to rest my arm and reducing my computer usage to watching anime and not typing or writing anything + acupuncture + cupping glasses + taking pills that treat arthiris, I give up. The infection and pain did not go away or even weakened -_-

I guess I’m just going to have to live with it until it goes away by itself… I really miss writing, I’m way behind on my schedule and I really want to get to my planned stuff for WP so I’m going to get back to my story and try to write a few minutes with long breaks every day, at least that’s the plan. (not that I was ever that prolific anyway, but still…)

Good news and bad news…

Just posted WP Ch31! yay 🙂

Had therapy today (and somehow I’m hurting even more now, all over =_=) and looks like I have an infection. I hope it goes away soon so I can get back to writing normally… T_T Was really looking forward to write some baseball action…

Pain! I can’t sleep…

Wild Pitch ch31: about 55% done.

Made some good progress today, despite everything. I’ve been suffering strange pains in my right arm for a little over a week. I am not sure what it is, but it’s definitely getting in the way of writing (or anything else, really… I’ve tried using only my left arm and it’s quite a mess… I was already clumsy before…).

Going to see a therapist on Sunday and I hope she can make it go away without me having to consult a doctor

update 16/4: arm still aching, but WP 31 100% done and sent to beta! woo!

Real update!

Finally posted chapter 30 of Wild Pitch after getting it back from my beta and revising it a bit. I can’t believe it’s been 2 months since I last updated, and it’s already April! Really, where does the time go???!

Already gotten ahead with chapter 31, though as usual I plan one thing and the story leads me elsewhere (usually towards smut *G*). Hopefully I keep the pace and finish it within this week, but to be safe don’t hold me on my words 😉

The Long and Winding Road

Just broke 90,000 words on Wild Pitch! whew! (actually I missed the 90k mark, when I checked it was already 91,456 words)

Quite a long way since that late July 2009 day in my Tokyo apartment, when I was watching kokoyakyu on TV and had this idea for a short smutty story about a baseball kid doing the dirty with his rival in the dressing room! some short PWP it turned out to be, huh? XD

Ah, back then I was watching the summer tournaments of East & West Tokyo and got all inspired… I really miss Japan 😦

Now Spring Koshien just started and I’m watching some of the games, it’s so much fun! As I’m gearing to start writing about my boys in Koshien, it’s really inspiring, I may use some of the situations in my story.

I’m almost done with chapter 30 now, after the slow start, the disaster that threw me off to a halt and some shaky attempts to continue writing, it’s going really smoothly now, I think I’ll finish it today – in a couple of hours maybe – and send it to my beta 🙂

Writing for Japan

Personally, I’ve been devastated with the damage caused by the quake and tsunami in Japan – fortunately all my Japanese friends and other friends in Japan are safe. But seeing this beautiful country in ruins is just heartbreaking, and even though I’m usually affected by any disaster, Japan feels much closer home, since I love it so much.

I wish I could help in a practical way, and now I may have found one.

LJ community Help_Japan organizes fandom auctions, to try and raise aid money for the relief efforts. I’m offering for auction what I can – words.

Progress, or lack thereof

I’m about 50% into chapter 30 of WP. I’m writing so slow and get distracted all the time so I haven’t been able to just get into it and finish the chapter. It’s so frustrating. I’ve been watching a lot of movies lately, it’s like I’m looking for other things to do than what I need to get done. Today I have (a migraine) a memorial service for my grandfather so I probably won’t be able to have a writing spree in the afternoon.

Gotta find a way to fight those distractions!

Whee~ made it in time for cim’s birthday! I’ve finished her birthday fic yesterday, and even had spare time for some rewriting!

The new rich text editor they use on AFF.net is SO BLEEPING ANNOYING!!!! It double spaces everything so I had to manually delete the spaces which took ages, and of course the pop-up that the script is not responding didn’t stop popping up and freezing my computer even after I checked ‘don’t ask again’. =__= so in the end I didn’t insert the story notes I wanted regarding Japanese cultural references… it was just too bothersome to handle. oh well
